Krishna Prasad My defining non-Outlook moment is meeting James W. Michaels, the legendary editor of Forbes, when I was very young in the profession. Mr Michaels was the man who had broken the news of Gandhi’s assassination as a reporter for American news agency United Press International. When I went to meet him in pre-internet Bombay four decades later, he had already edited 1,000 issues of The Capitalist Tool. Over subsequent conversations, he also drove home a few tenets. Among them: always be a working journalist, by which he meant skip the incestuous dinner party circuit.
