Lok Sabha Elections News LIVE Updates: In a major development, Congress candidate from Madhya Pradesh's Indore Lok Sabha seat Akshay Kanti Bam withdrew his candidature and was "welcomed" by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to its fold on Monday. Meanwhile, the row over JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna alleged "sex scandal" has been escalating with calls for his expulsion now growing within the party itself. The 33-year-old MP, who is the grandson of JD(S) supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, was the NDA candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, which went to polls on April 26.
The floodwaters swept through houses and cut off a major road, police official Stephen Kirui told The Associated Press.
