Kamran Akmal said that in the past, players had been banned for short terms and even had their fines reduced for the same offence but in Umar's case the PCB is not even satisfied with the 18 months ban

The likes of Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt, who too were found guilty of spot-fixing like Danish Kaneria, have been allowed back into the PCB fold
