To reshape perceptions about summer tourism in India, the Ministry of Tourism has launched a social media campaign 'Cool Summers of India,' targetting foreign tourists by highlighting the diverse climates across the Indian subcontinent. The initiative aims to draw attention to lesser-known destinations and alleviate overcrowding at popular tourist spots.

"Even when the mercury soars during summer in large parts of the country, there are "cool pockets which we want to highlight and draw tourists to these scenic locations," sources said.
