H N Rai assumes charge as SAIL director- technical

New Delhi, Aug 1 (PTI) Harinand Rai today assumed charge as director (technical) of state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).

"Harinand Rai has taken charge as director (technical) of SAIL today," SAIL said in a statement.

Rai who is a metallurgical engineer joined SAIL in 1986. During his 32 years of service, he has served at company's Bhilai and Durgapur Steel Plants.

BSE's USD-INR weekly F&O crosses turnover of Rs 2,130 cr on Day 3 *

Leading stock exchange BSE today said it has reported a daily average turnover of around Rs 2,130 crore on the third day of recently launched weekly dollar-rupee futures and options contracts.

The 'USINR Weekly Futures & options' was launched on July 30, with a view to help market participants to hedge their foreign currency exposures effectively.

"The last trading day for the contracts shall be every Friday of the week except for expiry week of monthly contract," the BSE said in a release. The final settlement price of the contracts would be computed using the RBI reference rate for USD-INR on the last trading day of the contract, it added.

Flinto raises Rs 6 cr in venture debt from InnoVen Capital

InnoVen Capital today said it has made a debt investment of Rs 6 crore in Flinto Learning Solutions, a Chennai-based educational start-up that focusses on activity-based learning for kids.

With this investment, InnoVen Capital aims to strengthen its focus on the burgeoning education sector, particularly the emerging early education segment, it said in a statement.

Founded in 2013, Flintobox is currently present in over 700 cities and caters to children in the age group of 2-12 years. It recently expanded into the unorganised pre-school segment through its enterprise offering - FlintoClass.

Coolberg raises seed funding led by India Quotient Fund, IAN Fund

Mumbai-based startup Coolberg Beverages today said it has secured an undisclosed amount as seed funding from India Quotient Fund and the Indian Angel Network’s maiden Fund for further expansion.

The funding in the startup, known for its non-alcoholic beer, was led by Sanjay Mehta and Anirudh Agarwal through IAN and Madhukar Sinha from IQ, Coolberg said in a statement.

Agarwal and Sinha will join the board of Coolberg. It has been able to mark its presence across 18 states in more than 75 cities in India within a short span of time, the statement said.
