New Delhi, Jul 23 A new art exhibition promises to offer its viewers a finer reflection on their inner emotions with the sheer power of colours.
"The Vivacious", a solo exhibition by city-based artist Mrinmoy Barua, that will begin on July 28, celebrates vision of a life-compelling inner force that emboldens all to live life to the fullest, the organisers said in a statement.
"This exhibition will provide art lovers with a promenade of emotions that dig deeper than the instinct of self-awareness, zeal, warmth, eagerness, and passion," the award-winning artist said.
Barua's abstract style is essentially an amalgamation of colours, red being a dominant hue, thereby portraying a blend of high course and flat course textures, superimposed by a perfect balance of vibrant brush strokes, with highly precise roller and spatula impact.
In his 24-year-long artistic career, Barua has won various state-level awards including The Shankar's International Award, the Al-Flaha Merit scholarship, awards from the Lalit Kala Academy and Sahitya Kala Parishad, and the All India Fine Art and Craft Society.
He also won the national award in 2002.
The show, to be held at Indian Habitat Centre here, is being curated by art connoisseur Nipun Soin.
The show will also feature some of Barua's figurative works exuding sentiments of force, power, freedom, ecstasy, life and spirituality.
The artist's depiction of the female form as a source of life and inspiration stands out.
