DMK President M K Stalin, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan among others were present at the unveiling.
Deprecating touching the feet of Stalin, the party said, "let us give up the servitude of touching the feet to grab attention and cooperate to foster a good political culture."

A grim-faced Stalin, who broke down occasionally while reminiscing about his father, said Palaniswami "did not oblige and just said the matter will be considered to see us off."
Duraimurugan, the party's principal secretary and long time aide of Karunanidhi, said Stalin had all the skills to lead the party.
The party recalled various other efforts taken by Karunanidhi to ensure social justice and equality, including enacting a law to enable members from all castes become temple priests.
Though Stalin sits firmly in the saddle, Alagiri's tough posturing may prod his supporters to come out openly against the new party chief.
MK Stalin is now the working president of the DMK and looks set to assume its reins.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Su Thirunavukkarasar backed the demand for posthumously conferring "Bharat Ratna" on Karunanidhi.
