Home Credit India donates 30,000 KN95, 1,80,000 surgical masks to health ministry

New Delhi, May 26 (PTI) Consumer loan financier Home Credit India (HCIN) on Tuesday said it has donated 30,000 KN95 respirators and 1,80,000 surgical masks to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

HCIN said the company is supporting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting other activities.

It has already provided ration to 20,000 people in Gurugram, Haryana.

Also, it said the company is among the firsts to introduce a special COVID-19 hospitalisation insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per employee.

Ondrej Kubik, chief executive officer, Home Credit, said, "We have been deeply impacted by this pandemic and we must all come together to provide the necessary support in our capacity to the government, healthcare workers and NGOs (non-governmental organisations) working to fight this."
