Born on 25 February 1981, Shahid Kapoor initially gained recognition for romantic roles but later diversified into action films and thrillers. Son of actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem, Kapoor began his career as a background dancer in the 1990s and made his film debut with the romantic comedy 'Ishq Vishk' in 2003, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
