Rain have played spoilsport in both the matches. The first match was completely washed out in Durban without even toss. In the second T20I match, rain played hide and seek, and eventually, overs were cut and the target was reduced in the second innings.
After being asked to bat first, India posted a total of 180 runs in 19.3 overs when rain entered into play. Rinku Singh played a brave knock of 68 runs in 39 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also scored a crucial 56 runs in 36 balls and stitched a 70-run partnership with Rinku Singh. Due to rain, the target was reduced to 152 runs in 15 overs.

South Africa achieved the target in 13.5 overs with five wickets and seven balls remaining. Opener batter Reeza Hendricks provided a blazing start and made 49 runs in 27 balls. Tristan Stubbs and Andile Phehlukwayo played cameos to help South Africa reach the target.

Indian team, despite putting their hearts could not change the outcome. On Thursday, Suryakumar-led Indian side will be playing to keep the hopes alive in the series.
