Sharad Pawar Says Won’t Join Hands With BJP

Recently, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar had shared a stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Lokmanya Tilak National Award ceremony in Pune.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has assured the party workers in Pune that he will not join hands with BJP.

Pawar has urged his workers to continue to work for the party.

Pawar according to The Indian Express report said while the BJP is trying hard to ensure that the NCP and its symbol are handed over to the faction led by Ajit Pawar.

He as per the report said that he will not let the BJP succeed in its plans.

Pawar as per the report made these comments during his meeting with the delegation Pune NCP leaders in Delhi.

Pawar’s reaction comes at a time when his nephew Ajit Pawar, who is now Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, approaching the Election Commission of India to stake claim over the NCP and its symbol.

Besides, Ajit Pawar faction also claims that Sharad Pawar is their leader and they respect him. 

From hoardings to display boards, Ajit Pawar’s faction has been using Sharad Pawar’s photographs.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a stage with NCP Chief Sharad Pawar at the Lokmanya Tilak National Award ceremony in Pune. 

Modi was conferred with the award in recognition of his “supreme leadership” and for “awakening the feeling of patriotism among citizens”. It has been seven years since the two appeared on a stage together.

Pawar did not entertain requests from members of the opposition INDIA alliance to not share stage with Modi.

Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece Saamana had said that the PM being felicitated, and given an award, by Sharad Pawar himself is "a bone of contention".

The faction led by Sharad Pawar has been maintain that it working in alliance with the Congress and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena.

On the other hand, the Ajit Pawar faction is getting closer to local leaders of the BJP and the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
                  
Incidentally, Ajit Pawar, during his recent public appearance along with Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the `Shasan Aplya Daari’ (government at your doorstep) event in Purandar spoke for 30 minutes to justify his decision to join hands with the BJP-Shiv Sena.

He said he has joined hands for the development of the state which is not possible sitting in the Opposition.
