Kamal Hassan Hospitalized In Chennai, To be Discharged Soon

Tamil superstar-politician Kamal Haasan has been hospitalized at Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Pora, Chennai, for a regular checkup and is expected to be discharged soon. As reported by Pinkvilla, when he tested positive for Covid-19 a few months ago, the actor was confined to the same hospital.

Actress and Kamal Hassan’s daughter Shruti Hassan had earlier said in an interview with Hindustan Times that, “My dad was super safe but it still happened. But he has recovered 100% and he is back to shooting. That’s wonderful news to all of us.”

Kamal Hassan had tweeted about testing positive for Covid-19 on November 22 after he had returned from the USA. He wrote, “I had mild cough following my return from the USA. When I tested, the coronavirus infection was confirmed. I have isolated myself in hospital. Everyone should be on guard realising that the COVID-19 spread has not faded”.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan recently hosted the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ Tamil's grand finale. ‘Vikram’ is his upcoming film. The makers of ‘Vikram’ released the first look on his birthday eve in November. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed the film. ‘Vikram’ is produced by Kamal Haasan's Raajkamal Films International. Anirudh Ravichander created the music for the film, and Anbariv choreographed the stunts.

He recently mourned the death of legendary Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj. He wrote on twitter, “I am not myself today as a result of being unable to see you.”

Further switching over to Tamil,  Haasan wrote : “The incomparable dance legend Pandit Birju Maharaj has passed away. Like an Ekalavya, I learnt a lot from him by observing him from a distance for many years. I learnt a lot from close quarters for ‘Vishwaroopam’.“A legend who dedicated his life to music and dance”.
