Chitwan Rhinos had won the toss and put Lumbini Lions to bat first. Rhinos left arm pacer Rijan Dhakal struck twice in his first three balls in the second over to put Lumbini Lions on the backfoot. However, Nepal and Lumbini Lions captain Rohit Paudel then came to the crease and played a fantastic knock of 80 runs from 57 balls. He stitched an 114-run partnership for the fifth wicket with former Canada captain Saad bin Zafar who also scored a half-century. The duo took Lumbini Lions to 167/6. Dhakal finished with three wickets for Rhinos.
After starring with bat, Paudel took the ball and took a wicket in each of his four overs to close the game. Only Luc Benkenstien could cross 30 for Chitwan Rhinos and they fell 33 runs short.
Paudel with his innings of 80 and a four-wicket haul was awarded the Player Of The Match.
