Lord's is regarded as one of the most prestigious cricket grounds and is also termed the Home of Cricket. Scoring a hundred or taking a five-wicket haul at this ground helps cricketers register their names on the honour's board, a lifetime dream for players. However, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar could not get his name on the honour's board of Lord's. Some say, it is actually the loss of the ground to not have been blessed with Tendulkar's name. On the second day of the third Test between India and England, Lord's ensured that there will not be another massive loss for the ground as it was honoured with Jasprit Bumrah's fifer.

This was among the interesting things that took place on the second day's play but there was much more. Check out the latest trending developments from the series in July 11's dispatch.

Bumrah takes five

Jasprit Bumrah returned after the break in the second Test and once again made the batters sweat. After taking just one wicket on Day 1, Bumrah made full use of the second new ball to get the wickets of the overnight duo of Joe Root, Ben Stokes. He dismissed Chris Woakes for a Golden Duck and then scalped Jofra Archer to complete his fifer, which is his first at Lord's and second in the series.

Run machine Root

Only five batters now remain ahead of Joe Root in the list of most century-makers in Test cricket history. Root on the second day scored his 37th Test ton, surpassing Steve Smith to become the player with most Test tons among active cricketers. He also surpassed Rahul Dravid in the list of highest century-maker.

With this hundred, Root also drew level with Steve Smith for the most centuries against India in Test cricket at 11 apiece.

Lunch menu at Lord's

The details of what players get during the Lunch are not easily available usually. But the Lord's Cricket Ground posted its menu which had some really mouth-watering delicacies on offer.

Pic of the day

Some pictures just make you go wow and the one below is in the same category. Clicked by Stu Forster, the picture just shows how bizarre the game can get at times.

Ball drama

The Dukes ball has been at the centre of controversy in recent times as the ball has shown the tendency to go out of shape quite early. India's second new ball too could not pass the umpire's gauge test quite early on the second day and had to be changed. The ball change also altered the momentum of the game and helped England stretch their score with some lower order partnerships.

Wimbledon season in London means we are getting a lot of cricket tennis crossovers every day. On Friday, Sachin Tendulkar was clicked alongside tennis greats Roger Federer and Bjorn Bjorg and the Little Master could not resist posting the picture of this moment.
