Team India have won the 1st T20I by 2 runs against Sri Lanka in a closely fought contest at the Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, India piled up 163 on the board thanks to some late fireworks of Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel. In reply, Sri Lankan batters could not handle the pace of Shivam Mavi and Harshal Patel with the former plucking 4 wickets on debut. Dasun Shanaka and Chamika Karunaratne did provide some hitting in the end but it was too little too late as Hardik Pandya's troops ran away victors. Get IND vs SL highlights.
