Oliveira Vs Bautista, UFC Vegas 113 Highlights: Brazilian Runs Out Of Steam As American Lands Honours

The prelims starts off with Dustin Jacoby up against Julius Walker

Round 1 gets done jabs are blown by Jacoby. Big right hand connects for Walker. Leg kick from Jacoby. Left hook then a leg kick by Jacoby. Quick combo stuns Walker. Walker shoots and Jacoby gets him in a front headlock after he sprawls. He gets back to his feet. Jabs by Jacoby. Leg kick by Jacoby. Walker lifts Jacoby and takes him down.

That's done and dusted for Julius Walker. Jacoby lands some punches. Uppercut by Jacoby He then follows it up with a takedown! Big elbows by Jacoby! Walker falls back. More shots from Jacoby! These are adding up!

Walker finally gives away the white flag.

Records: Basharat (14-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC), Matsumoto (17-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC)

Basharat starts with a kick. Matsumoto starts to press. Some neat lands clean for Basharat followed by a standing elbow by Basharat! Matsumoto has a cut on his cheek. Basharat presses Matsumoto against the cage. Knee by Basharat. Matsumoto reverses the position. Basharat reverses and breaks away. Some leg and jabs from Basharat. Matsumoto then serves up a left hook. Basharat has been very aggressive. as he presses Matsumoto against the cage, but gets reversed. Matsumoto going for the takedown. Good defense by Basharat. Matsumoto gets the takedown. The bell rings

Basharat starts with some jabs. He then presses Matsumoto against the cage. But gets reversed. Short shots by Matsumoto. They break free. More jabs by Basharat. Left hook by Basharat. Right hand by Matsumoto. Matsumoto delivers back with some good shots as he presses Basharat against the cage. Matsumoto takes the back of Basharat while standing. He lets it go, but still controls Basharat against the cage. Matsumoto trying hard for the takedown. Two minutes left. Matsumoto takes down Basharat, but they scramble and Basharat ends on top. Matsumoto gets back to his feet. They trade leg kicks. And the bell goes.

Next up is Mario Bautista vs Vinicius Oliveira at the UFC Vegas 113 event.

Round 1 gets underway. Both men want to start off with throw downs. However, it's Oleksiekczuk who looks more of a measured one though. He landed the harder shots while pressing forwards.

Round 2: The second round kicks-off with Barriault replicating of what Oleksiejczuk did in the first. He starts coming forward and landing big shots. That's a tie now in the first two rounds.

Round 3: This is a close one to call as Oleksiejczuk comes back and lands some exchanges. Both pack a punch as blows after blows are delivered.

Result: Michal Oleksiejczuk def. Marc-Andre Barriault by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Right then! We have one more fight and then followed by another before Bautista and Oliveira go head-to-head. First up -Jailton Almeida is up against Rizvan Kuniev.

Almeida shoots immediately, but isn't able to make a takedown. Kuniev manages to stay on his feet the whole round and a land a few shots. Almeida does not give him any chance of doing the damage, but Kuniev’s efforts should be rewards with the 10-9.

Rizvan Kuniev spends more time pressing Almeida into the fence. The Big Dan obliges a few times but the tactic seems to work. Rizvan Kuniev tries to be very aggressive, however Almeida seems stalled out.

Crowd does not like the way the two fighters are going on with things inside the octagon. After a tepid display in Roudn 2, both fighters show a little more activity on the feet. Kuniev continues to press his advantage, pushing Almeida into the fence.

In the end it results in Rizvan Kuniev defeating Jailton Almeida by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Amir Albazi vs. Kyoji Horiguchi starts off with Round 1

Round 1 sees Horiguchi score with his usual darting in and out offense. But Albazi looked solid and like he had a strength advantage anytime they locked up. Horiguchi takes the round, though, for his activity and the strikes he landed.

Round 2 has Horiguchi deliver some punches and jabs. Despite Albazi's defense, the Japanese weighs up his move with neat punches and kicks. Horiguchi is in the lead, and perhaps Albazi might want to rethink his strategy.

Round 3 sees Horiguchi dominate Albazi behind the ear. That made Albazi gets a body lock before Horiguchi could follow up with any more damage. Albazi eyes some more takedowns against the fence but it's the Japanese fighter who runs away with the result.

Vinicius Oliveira is out first to a symphony that has surprised many inside the venue. The Brazilian looks pumped and ready to go.

Mario Bautista enters the arena and there seems to be a sense of calm and focus on his face.

Mario Bautista does not allow his Brazilian fighter to breathe as the American trades blows after blow. Vinicius tries to thwart the attack from Bautista but the latter puts a punch after punch.

Round 2 saw Bautista go into wrestling mode in the round. Oliveira fought him off, but appeared very tired. He landed a few nice shots, but was taken down again. Oliveira started well but started to fade and Bautista was able to get a crucifix. Oliveira bucked out of that, but Bautista then chained his grappling together — beautifully — and finished the sequence with a rear naked choke. Oliveira tapped quickly.
