As London Fashion Week 2023 concludes, the fashion world now shifts its attention to the events' last leg today. London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 commenced on September 15 and finally comes to an end today. The show featured an impressive roster of 132 brands, comprising 108 physical events and 37 digital presentations. While Paris and Milan may host renowned designers under one roof, London Fashion Week has consistently nurtured emerging talents and played a crucial role in advancing their careers.
Therefore, it's fair to anticipate that London Fashion Week SS 2023 will continue to provide fresh perspectives on current styles, the latest trends, and emerging talents.
With that in mind, here is a comprehensive list of today's shows and designers to eagerly anticipate:
1. University of Westminster MA Menswear
The MA Menswear program at the University of Westminster was established in 2017. Led by Course Leader Liliana Sanguino, this year's graduating class has had the privilege of being instructed by prominent educators in the field of menswear, such as Adam Entwisle, Ben Reardon, Charles Jeffrey, Rottingdean Bazaar, Prof Andrew Groves, Richard Gray, and Anthony Campbell.
Notable alumni from the program include Robyn Lynch, who is now in her fourth season in the industry, and Priya Ahluwalia, who recently shared the LVMH Prize. This year's graduating students showcase a diverse range of influences and approaches to the field of menswear, all of which are highlighted in our exclusive London Fashion Week (LFW) film.
2. 8ON8
Li Gong, a graduate of Central Saint Martins' MA Fashion program, established the menswear brand 8ON8 back in 2017. With careful development of his unique aesthetic and style, he presents a fresh perspective in 8on8, envisioning the future by drawing inspiration from past urban generations and harnessing youthful energy in a more mature manner.
Utilizing innovative pattern-cutting techniques and balanced proportions, he blends technical and traditional fabrics to create distinct clothing categories for men that transcend and blend the realms of contemporary sportswear and traditional men's tailoring.
Starting with his SS20 collection, Li began showcasing his creations on the London Fashion Week schedule, with sponsorship from GQ China. More recently, he has announced global collaborations with CANALI and ASICS.
3. APUJAN
APUJAN is a London-centered women's fashion brand initiated by designer Apu Jan, making its debut during the London Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2013. APUJAN's creations are frequently featured on the front covers of prominent Asian publications like Vogue and ELLE. Additionally, numerous Asian actresses have selected APUJAN as their preferred brand for red-carpet events. The label has garnered significant global media recognition and was recognized as one of Taiwan's top 10 culture and creative brands, with its designer earning the title of one of the GQ Men of the Year in Taiwan.
