Memories By Candlelight
Directed by Kavich Neang, Three Wheels was showcased at the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, 2022 as part of Sudarshan Shetty’s curation, Who is Asleep Who is Awake. Released in 2015, the 20-minute short film follows an old Cambodian tuk-tuk driver as he navigates his life out of a marriage that he was forced into during the country’s despotic regime of the 1970s, the Khmer Rouge. The regime saw a litany of forced marriages leaving a trail of generational trauma in its wake.
