The innings and 52-run victory in the first Test against Pakistan was not only India's firstin this country but also its biggest-ever away from home.
India registered its first away victory in 1967-68 in New Zealand and today's win is its 20th abroad.
Remarkably, seven of those 20 wins have come since Saurav Ganguly took over from Sachin Tendulkar in the 1999-2000 homeseries against South Africa.
