However, KL Rahul joined forces with Virat Kohli to stabilise the Indian innings. The duo blocked each and every ball and played ones and twos as fours and sixes dried up for the hosts.

During the innings, however, just as Kohli reached his crease, Glenn Maxwell threw the ball back at the wicketkeeper however it ended up hitting the Indian batter. Kohli and Maxwell were seen later having some fun and games post the incident. These two know each other well thanks to their Royal Challengers Bangalore connection in the IPL.

Talking on the cricket front, Australia earlier won the toss and elected to bowl first in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19. India are playing the same XI as their previous game against Kiwis whereas the Australians are fielding the same team.
