The chase was never in doubt, as openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis scored 78 runs in Powerplay – a T20I record for Sri Lanka against Bangladesh. Mendis finished with 73 off 51, and Nissanka scored 42 off 16.
Despite their dismissal, Charith Asalanka and Avishka Fernando saw the hosts home with 11 balls to spare.
