Ghazanfar returned figures of 5-33 as the Afghans bundled out Craig Ervine's side for just 127 runs in 30.1 overs. Chasing the lowly 128-run target, the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan cantered to victory in 26.5 overs, with opener Sediqullah Atal stroking a half-century.
Sediqullah Atal was named the Player of the Series for his remarkable performance with the bat, scoring 156 runs at an impressive average of 78.00, including a century and a half-century to his name.
Afghanistan have now won each of their bilateral ODI series against Zimbabwe except the one in 2014, which was shared. They have also won six back-to-back white-ball series in 2024.
