Indian Army Launches Operation Keller, Heavy Cache Of Weapons Seized

The Indian army on Tuesday conducted Operation Keller resulting in the encounter of three terrorists including the local commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba or The Resistance Front. The security forces seized a huge amount of weapons including AK series rifles and large quantities of ammunition and grenades, a day after the encounter, as reported by PTI

The operation was carried out based on the intelligence of the Rashtriya Rifles Unit in the Keller forest of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. Two of the three terrorists were locals from Shopian named Shahid Kuttay and Adnan Shafi Dar whose homes were demolished after the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 individuals.

The Indian Army posted a statement on X stating, “On 13 May 2025, based on specific intelligence of a Rashtriya Rifles Unit, about the presence of terrorists in general area Shoekal Keller, Shopian, Indian Army launched a search and destroy Operation. During the operation, terrorists opened heavy fire and fierce firefight ensued, which resulted in elimination of three hardcore terrorists.”
