Dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ is all set to make a comeback to its first home — Sony TV. The Indian version of BBC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was launched in 2006 and it made a move to Colors in the year 2012. However, the show is back again after 10 years on Sony, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it grander as ever.

As per a report in indianexpress.com, the show’s team has been actively meeting celebrities to finalise them as contestants, and the list includes all the popular television actors and even social media stars. Coming to the judges, it is said that the makers are keen to finalise Malaika Arora and Farah Khan, while the search is on for the third one.

“Both Farah Khan and Malaika Arora have been associated with the show previously. They too have shown interest and final talks are taking place. The team is toying with the idea about whether they should get a choreographer or a filmmaker like Karan Johar to join the panel,” the daily quoted a source as saying.

As for contestants, several names have come up, including Manisha Rani, Shiv Thakar, Sumbul Touqeer, and Shivangi Joshi and they are said to be confirmed. Actors Surbhi Jyoti, Surbhi Chandna and Urvashi Dholakia too have been reportedly approached for the reality show. Ayesha Singh, Daisy Shah and Neil Bhatt, who were said to be entering ‘Bigg Boss 17', too are reportedly considering the option of signing ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.

“Clarity about confirmed participants would come in a couple of days,” the source added.

Meanwhile, the last season of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ was won by Gunjan Sinha. Social media star Faisal Shaikh and popular TV actor Rubina Dilaik were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The last season was judged by Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi, with Maniesh Paul as the host.
