Assam couldn’t have asked for a better start. Pradyun Saikia is showing plenty of patience at the crease with a composed 8 off 18, holding one end firm, while Saurav Dihingia has injected early momentum with a brisk 11 off 12. The pair have rotated strike effortlessly and punished anything loose, turning the momentum decisively in Assam’s favour.

He’s paced it beautifully, solid early, then ruthless once set, while Sibsankar Roy has been the perfect foil with a composed 60 off 68. Their partnership continues to boss the bowlers, and at 210/2, Assam are in total control, eyeing a big finish in the final overs.

Sumit Ghadigaonkar falls for a superb 101, caught by Sameer Rizvi off Vipraj Nigam at 33.1 overs. A classy century comes to an end, but Assam remain well placed after his match-shaping innings.

With just 79 runs needed and plenty of wickets in hand, Uttar Pradesh are well placed to finish the job.

Uttar Pradesh tighten their grip on the chase, cruising to 291/2 in 42 overs on the back of a sensational knock from Aryan Juyal, who is batting on 150 off 140. He’s been ice-cold under pressure, combining patience with clean hitting. Skipper Rinku Singh has added the finishing touches with a blistering 37 off just 15, shifting gears effortlessly.
