This recognition is a milestone, acknowledging the school’s efforts to conserve energy, adopt renewable resources, and include environmental education in curriculum. Whether it’s the installation of solar panels for clean energy, rainwater harvesting systems for water conservation, or LED lighting across the campus, the school is making environmental consciousness a way of life.
But what plays a role at BSM Dnyananand is its student-centered approach. “We want our students to grow up not just as achievers, but as responsible global citizens,” says Anjali Pandey. From participating in eco-friendly campaigns to adopting energy-saving practices, students are the part of the school’s environmental program.
Under Anjali’s supervision, environmental education has moved beyond textbooks. Regular awareness sessions, environmental events, and student sustainability projects are teaching students about in environmental responsibility. “Sustainability isn’t a subject; it’s a mindset,” she affirms—and that mindset is now flourishing within the school walls.
With a stated plan of becoming a fully sustainable campus plan, BSM Dnyananand School is has initiated steps. Parents and the larger community are being invited to participate in the initiative, making it a group participation in sustainability efforts.

About Dr. Anjali Pandey
Dr. Anjali Pandey brings a academic background in the field of life sciences and education. She holds two Master of Science degrees—one in Botany and another in Environmental Science—demonstrating her interdisciplinary expertise. She also earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), reflecting her commitment to the academic field, and later completed her Ph.D. in Botany. Her educational journey reflects a deep interest in plant sciences and environmental studies, supported by formal training in teaching. Dr. Pandey is currently associated with BSM Dnyananand School, located at Veer Sawarkar Path, Cherai, Thane West.
