Prabhsimran Singh and Harnoor Singh are out in the middle for the 1st innings of the subsequent quarter-final clash at the BCCI Centre of excellence, ground 1 in Bengaluru.

Delhi and Vidarbha are locking horns in the other quarter-final.

Excellent start from the MP bowlers who have bowled a tight first three overs Tripuresh Singh and Aryan Pandey are looking in great rhythm. 

Not the kind of start that Punjab were hoping for as it has been very very slow. Prabhsimran has scored 4 off 10 while Harnoor Singh is at staggering 9 off 26.

It will be fair to say that Punjab didn't make full use of the 1st powerplay as their run-rate is well below 5, 4.18 to be precise. It has not been easy to score in front of the MP bowlers.

Prabhsimran has upped the ante and has taken his strike rate to over 100. He is currently batting at 35 off 34. Harnoor Singh has been rather cautious since the start, scoring just 21 off 46.

Prabhsimran Singh is approaching his half-century but Punjab won't be particularly satisfied with their run-rate. A couple of big overs are much needed.

It has been a decent recovery from Punjab as the run-rate is increasing.

Tremendous recovery from Prabhsimran and Harnoor Singh as Punjab cross the 100-run mark in Bengaluru. Both of them have scored half-centuries and run-rate is also flowing over 5 runs per over.

Tripuresh Singh lands the breakthrough wicket of Harnoor Singh for 51 off 71 balls. Anmolpreet Singh has come to bat at number 3 while skipper Prabhsimran Singh is on fire at the moment, scoring 80 off 73.

Punjab have a much tougher task in hand than Madhya Pradesh as it appears. The North Indian outfit will at least need 150 runs more to pose a threat to the MP batters, who have been in a very good form this Vijay Hazare season.

Skipper Prabhsimran Singh will be gutted to have lost his wicket 12 runs before getting to his century. Kuldeep Sen gets the prized out wicket of Prabh for 88 off 86. Naman Dhir is the new man in.

PUN batters Anmolpreet Singh and Naman Dhir are tasked with upping the scoring rate as they eye a big score. MP, who opted to bowl first, might have to regret the decision if the Punjab batters take the target towards 300-plus.

Naman Dhir is the latest batter to lose his wicket for 23 off 20 but Punjab's current run rate has reached to 6 runs an over. Nehal Wadhera and Anmolpreet Singh's partnership is now at 47. A 300+ total is very much on the cards now.

Young Nehal Wadhera leaves the crease after a quickfire 56 off 38 which has substantially helped Punjab in setting up a 300+ total in the remaining 7 overs or so.

Anmolpreet Singh, you beauty. Just when Punjab needed someone to fire from the middle-order, he stepped up. Anmol departed the crease after smashing 70 off 62 with Punjab cross the 300-run mark.

Right then, after a very slow start from Prabhsimran Singh and Harnoor Singh, quickfire knocks from Nehal Wadhera and Anmolpreet Singh helped Punjab post 345 runs on the board, thanks to an onslaught in the death overs.

The onus is now on the Punjabi bowlers.

We are back underway for the 2nd innings of this quarter-final clash. Yash Dubey and Himanshu Mantri open for Madhya Pradesh. It is going to be an exciting chase.

Madhya Pradesh are well below the required rate of 7.25 as their scoring rate dipped after the dismissal of Yash Dubey.

MP have lost four wickets in a heap as they chase down a mammoth total of 346 against Punjab. PUN bowlers Gurnoor Brar and Sanvir Singh have done the early damage with two wickets each.

Madhya Pradesh are all over the shop with five wickets down and still requiring over 200 runs, in their pursuit of 347. Rajat Patidar will have to play a blinder from here, if they are to get anywhere close to the target.

The 2nd innings might end sooner than we think as Madhya Pradesh have been reduced to 6 wickets and they haven't even touched the 100-run mark yet.

RCB skipper Rajat Patidar will have to pull off a miracle, otherwise Madhya Pradesh will be eliminated. MP need 255 runs more to win.

Tripuresh Singh is showing us that he can bat too and that the match is not over yet. The right-arm medium has struck three boundaries to ease some of the pressure on Rajat Patidar. However, Tripuresh has to be a little cautious as well, otherwise he might lose his wicket.

Sad news for the Madhya Pradesh camp as Rajat Patidar has been shown the exit door by Krish Bhagat for a score of 38 off 40. MP are reeling and Punjab are moments away from celebrating Lohri with a win.

Excellent stuff from the Punjabi bowlers as Madhya Pradesh are just a wicket away from getting eliminated from the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 and it will be a tough one to take.

Their batting line-up was daunting throughout the tournament but it just wasn't meant to be today. They need 190 more but all that Punjab need is a wicket.

What a win for Punjab! The North Indian have had the last laugh as they register a massive victory by 183 runs. This win was made possible only because of the Punjabi bowlers who were absolutely spot on.
