The Scots, meanwhile, saw their opening match against Guernsey also being abandoned due to rain. In their next outing against the Netherlands, they stunned the hosts with a six-run victory, defending a total of 148. Ollie Hairs scored 52 off 35, assisted by Charlie Tear (32 off 24).
Chris Greaves took three wickets, while Brandon McMullen took two more, to restrict the Netherlands to 142/7.
