Day 4: Tea Break
Record-breaking Gill
No record seems safe from Shubman Gill in this Test match. With a century in the second innings, he has broken Sunil Gavaskar's 54-year-old record for most runs in a Test match by an Indian.
In his debut outing, Gavaskar had scored 344 against West Indies in Port of Spain in 1971. Gill now has 369 runs* in the ongoing Test match.

Pant being Pant
Rishabh Pant was in control for most of his half-century in the second innings of the second Test but when he was not, it made for a fun watch. He made his bat fly on two occasions with the last one also ending in his dismissal. But before departing, he had added 65 off 58 in another crucial knock.
Nair fails again
Karun Nair got out on 26 in the second innings, which means he now has only 77 runs in four outings in this series where batters have scored heavily. The conversations regarding his place in the Playing XI have started to come up. However, former England batter Jonathan Trott believes he is coming into rhythm and India should stick with him.
Pumped up crowd
The crowd for Test matches in England has always been entertaining and this series has been no different.
