After detailed research, she started a community networking website, minglebox.com, with two of her former IIT classmates. The college and community website, launched in September 2006, was an instant hit among youngsters. Kavita now wants to create a large virtual campus of over 5,000 colleges across the country on the internet. She hopes to piggyback on the growth of net advertising and expects to break even next year.
