In ’04, Positron began with a single client and a share capital of Rs 1 lakh. The first two years were tough as Abhijeet had to compete with global giants like McKinsey, BCG and Accenture. Ironically, what came to his rescue was his alma mater and its alumni—his IIM-C mates helped with their contacts and networking. Abhijeet now feels that his company is on an even keel, signing a new client every month, giving the global firms a run for their money. The secret of his success is his unique model which does not focus on writing reports, but on providing complete solutions for clients. With over 40 clients and a turnover of Rs 5 crore, he is planning a geographical expansion. He also harbours dreams of writing a book.
