PRYM Aerospace, part of PRYM Group and the technology backbone behind Salam Kisan, has received DGCA Type Certification for its flagship Arjuna drone.
This announcement follows the approval of the PRYM Drone School of Excellence as a DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO), creating India’s first end-to-end pathway for drone manufacturing, pilot training, and deployment through Salam Kisan’s nationwide platform.
Earlier this year, PRYM Group signed a ₹300 crore MoU with the Government of Maharashtra at the World Economic Forum in Davos to accelerate drone adoption and skill development. With both RPTO and drone certifications now secured, these commitments are translating into tangible milestones that strengthen Salam Kisan’s mission to transform Indian agriculture by making advanced drone technology accessible to millions of farmers.
Dhanashree Mandhani, Founder & CEO, PRYM Group, said:
“This certification is more than a regulatory milestone, it is proof that India can build and scale world-class indigenous drone technology. Salam Kisan has already empowered 3 lakh farmers with drone spraying and precision farming solutions. With DGCA approvals for both training and hardware, we are ready to scale Salam Kisan’s services nationwide and create a sustainable ecosystem for farmers and rural entrepreneurs.”
Beyond empowering smallholder farmers, the Arjuna drone opens opportunities for franchise partners, distributors, and institutional buyers such as plantations, commercial estates, private universities, and CSR initiatives. Certified by DGCA and backed by Salam Kisan’s network of over 3 lakh farmers, Arjuna is uniquely positioned to deliver scalable spraying services, precision agriculture outcomes, and cost savings across rural and commercial sectors.
Unlike imported alternatives, Arjuna is indigenously designed and manufactured at PRYM’s 20,000 sq. ft. R&D hub in Jalna — ensuring compliance, local service support, lower downtime, and seamless integration into Salam Kisan’s digital ecosystem. For franchisees and distributors, this means an immediate channel into Salam Kisan’s farmer base and the ability to build sustainable businesses with predictable demand.
Unlike standalone drone providers, PRYM offers an integrated ecosystem — certified hardware, DGCA-approved pilot training, Salam Kisan’s farmer marketplace, and after-sales support ensuring buyers can generate demand and scale services from day one.
Every Arjuna deployed creates opportunities for trained rural pilots, agri-entrepreneurs, and youth employment, aligning with national priorities of skill development, sustainability, and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
