In Delhi last year, a youth driving a Ford Escort late at night rams into a police picket, injuring a cop. The youth speeds away. A passing autorickshaw catches up with him; the youth tries to bribe the driver with a cellphone, fails.

A young woman driver is stopped by a traffic cop at the AIIMS intersection. She reverses the car, rams into the officer, wounding him.

In Mumbai, actor Raajkumar's son Puru runs over a few people on the pavement and keeps moving.

A Maruti hits a lady jogger down the Marine Drive, killing her on the spot. The car speeds away.

In Madras, on January 14, a high-speed vehicle hits 25-year-old Chellamal and her husband as they're crossing the pedestrian line. The lady dies instantly.
