Methodology: TheOutlook-AC Nielsen poll to gauge public opinion to Sonia Gandhi's resignation as MP and chairperson of the National Advisory Council was conducted in five cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai andLucknow. The poll ascertained both urban and rural responses. Three villages around each city were covered to get the rural opinion. Strangely, a high percentage of rural respondents chose to keep their counsel on some of the queries. In all, the March 27-28 poll covered 1,223 male/female respondents in the age group 18-50, 931 in urban centres and 292 in rural areas.
