Former UFC fighter Ben Askren says he "died four times" before undergoing a double lung transplant after pneumonia developed from a bacterial staph infection. The 40-year-old was hospitalised in Wisconsin in June, placed on a ventilator, and added to the transplant list.

Askren, who retired from MMA in 2019, said he has "no recollection" of much of the ordeal but is now on the road to recovery. In a video from his hospital bed, he revealed he has lost 50 pounds (around 22.7kg) over 45 days.

He must instead pay a fine of €386,361.93. Ancelotti, who ended a second stint with Real Madrid last season, took charge of Brazil shortly after. Under Spanish law, non-violent offenders with no prior convictions often avoid jail if sentenced to less than two years.
