'12th Fail' Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Son Agni Scores His Third Consecutive Century, Dominates Ranji Trophy

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's son Agni Chopra, who made his debut in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, has been dominating with his batting prowess on the cricket field.

Famous filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been garnering praise for his latest film '12th Fail.' While on one hand, he is dominating the film industry with the impact of his film, on the other hand, his son Agni Chopra is dominating the cricket field by constantly performing incredibly and scoring runs in Ranji Trophy matches. For those unversed, Agni is playing for Mizoram and has scored three centuries in three back-to-back matches, the third one being against Arunachal Pradesh. 

Agni made his Ranji Trophy debut this season. In the third First-Class match against Arunachal Pradesh, he scored 114 runs, which included 18 fours and two sixes, to help Mizoram emerge as winners. Mizoram made 323 runs, in response to which Arunachal Pradesh made 265 runs and 134 runs in the first and second innings respectively. This meant that Mizoram had a target of 77 runs to be able to win. Mizoram surpassed the target with eight wickets still remaining. In the second innings, Agni scored a low run of 10 runs, before being bowled. This marked Mizoram's first win in three matches, following one loss and one draw.

The 25-year-old cricketer made his First-Class debut in the current season of the Ranji Trophy. His debut match was against Sikkim, wherein he scored a brilliant total of 258 runs. His second century was not long after, when he played against Nagaland, and made a splendid 179 runs in total. Now, with this third match, Agni has made a total of 561 runs, including 72 fours and 14 sixes, in three matches, with an average of 93.50 and a strike rate of 106.85.
