At each stop, the colours of the sea shifted between turquoise and deep blue, almost as if nature were showing off.The next day, we decided to explore Krabi’s lush interior. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua) tested our resolve with 1,260 steps to its hilltop shrine, but the panoramic views of Krabi’s coastline were worth every gasp of breath. Beneath the golden Buddha statue, the wind whispered through the mountains, offering a spiritual reprieve.Getting Away from A GetawayMidway through our trip, we decided to escape the tourist buzz and spend two days on Koh Lanta, a tranquil island that feels worlds apart. The ferry ride itself was a delight, with sea breezes and a view of Krabi’s iconic limestone cliffs. However, a hydro spa back at the resort refreshed us thoroughly! Evenings were reserved for feasting. At Ao Nang’s night market, we gorged on steaming bowls of tom yum soup, skewers of grilled seafood, and mango sticky rice so perfectly sweet, it became an obsession. One evening, we hopped onto a sunset cruise that served dinner on board as the Andaman Sea turned to liquid gold—a memory etched into my heart.
