After numerous rumors, speculations, Taylor Swift has finally addressed her relationship with National Football League star Travis Kelce, in an interview for TIME magazine’s cover story.

The 33-year-old music icon, recently named as Time Magazine’s 2023 Person of the Year, shared insights into the public attention surrounding their relationship, which sparked interest among fans after her appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September, showing support for Kelce.

Swift described how they have been there for each other in the ensuing months. The pop star has attended around six Chiefs games, while Kelce made a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 11 to catch another show of the Eras Tour.

Usually, Swift is known to keep her relationships extremely private. However, in this instance, she had a different stance. "When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care," she expressed. Adding to it, she said "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other."

The Grammy-winning singer discussed the challenge of cameras so frequently panning on her during the games. “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” Swift said, referring to the family suites where she very often joins Donna, Kelce’s mother, or Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes. “I’m just there to support Travis … I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads … Football is awesome, it turns out … I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

Kelce has also spoken up a lot about the early days of their relationship, seemingly reciprocating the affection. He revealed that mutual connections played a huge role in bringing them where they are today, saying, "There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was coming?’ I had somebody playing Cupid." Kelce praised Swift as "hilarious" and "a genius."
