Pakistan defeated the United Arab Emirates by 31 runs to take the lead in the points standings and extend their winning streak in the Tri-Series at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.
Agha Salman chose to bat after winning the toss, and Saim Ayub took the lead with a brilliant 69 off 38 balls before inside-edging Rahul Chopra.
Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf made cameos to help Pakistan post 207 in 20 overs, while Hasan Nawaz scored a scorching 56 off 26 balls to add 57 runs for the fifth wicket.
Muhammad Waseem, the captain, started the UAE's chase strongly with 33 off 18, but wickets dropped at the other end, leaving them at 76/5.
With six fours and six sixes in a 77-ball, 35-ball blitz, Asif Khan counterattacked, but the UAE finished 176/8 due to a lack of support.
Pakistan won by a total of 31 runs thanks to Hasan Ali taking 3/47, Mohammad Nawaz taking 2/21, and Salman Mirza and Saim Ayub grabbing one each.
