The "office-of-profit" imbroglio has sent the Jharkhand government packing off to Rajasthan in a specially chartered plane to seek divine intervention. The flock of 40 MLAs, led by CM Arjun Munda, offered a chadar at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and also visited the Brahma temple in Pushkar. But Munda refused to accept it was the controversy that had forced the trip. He said they were visiting the holy sites to "express their gratitude for completing one year" despite the political hurdles that had plagued his government. Back home though, some of his ministers were more candid. They told mediapersons that they were all flown out to save the mlas from being enticed by Opposition parties in the state. The office-of-profit controversy had clearly become too hot to handle.
