On January 26, 2020, the sports world was shaken to its core as news broke of a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Among the nine lives lost that day was one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant's career with the Los Angeles Lakers was legendary. He won five NBA championships with the team and was named NBA Finals MVP twice. Kobe was an 18-time NBA All-Star, a 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, a 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), and a two-time NBA Finals MVP. Bryant, the top scorer in the history of the Lakers, holds the distinction of being the first guard in NBA history to complete a remarkable 20 seasons on the court.
