As India sets its sights on becoming a $5 trillion economy, India's largest non listed developer M3M India are helping lay the foundation— by building infrastructure, and by creating livelihoods at scale. M3M India, the country’s largest non-listed developer, reports generating over 1 lakh jobs through its large-scale projects across India*

With 36 completed projects and 15 more underway, covering 30.73 million sq. ft. of built infrastructure, M3M’s developments employ an average of 5,000 people per site. This includes a range of skill levels—from migrant labourers and construction workers to engineers, architects, and auditors. These jobs extend across construction, engineering, logistics, services, and post-completion operations.

Our focus has consistently been on building projects that generate employment at scale and support long-term economic linkages,” said Pankaj Bansal, Director, M3M India.

“This approach is not just about development; it’s about delivering economic value.”

More than direct employment, M3M’s projects have reached over 5 lakh lives, factoring in families, dependents, and ancillary workers. Each job is estimated to support a household of four to five people, contributing to improved access to education, healthcare, and financial stability.

The company’s projects also activate indirect and induced employment by fueling demand in allied sectors such as cement, steel, glass, logistics, legal, and design. Much of this demand is absorbed by MSMEs, creating a broader supply chain impact. Once projects are delivered, they lead to additional employment across retail, hospitality, warehousing, and fintech, connecting people to the larger urban economy.

The company’s initiatives are aligned with the Prime Minister’s Skill India Programme. Through the iMpower Academy for Skills, run by the M3M Foundation under its nationwide initiative “Kaushal Sambal” programme, 10,000 youth—many first-generation women workers—will be trained in digital marketing, electrical fitting, plumbing and entrepreneurial finance over three years. Live apprenticeships on ongoing projects help construction work from short-term roles to more structured employment pathways, reducing frictional unemployment.

This job creation is not merely a result of economic growth—it is also contributes it. As highlighted in the Knight Frank–NAREDCO 2023 report, infrastructure-adjacent employment in India is set to rise from 70 million to 100 million by 2030. M3M’s capital deployment and on-time project execution illustrate how private investment can contribute to job creation and support local economies.

M3M has significantly expanded Its real estate development presence In North India, starting from Gurugram and branching out to Noida and Panipat, establishing a presence as a developer in these high-growth corridors. In Noida, the company has three projects now underway, with a cumulative investment of Rs 9,000 crore, contributing significantly to the region’s GDP. The combined sales potential from these projects is projected to exceed Rs 12,500 crore. Additionally, the development will generate employment for approximately 15,000 individuals across various sectors, including contractors, suppliers, construction workforce, and logistics partners, further contributing to the local economy.

As India accelerates infrastructure development through programmes like PM Gati Shakti, analysts agree that developers who combine financial depth with employment-first models will play a key role in sustaining national growth. M3M’s execution of large-scale projects on time and at scale places it among the few non-listed players actively contributing to India’s economic development through job creation and community engagement.
