- But it may be overstaffed with an overall employee strength of nearly 35,000, higher than similar airlines
- It will have a fleet of over 110 aircraft; apart from the recent orders placed to procure another 110
- The two together ferried 12.5 million passengers, domestically and globally, in the last 12 months
- The new entity will benefit from synergies like common reservation system, engineering and maintenance divisions. AI can use idle Indian fleet to fly domestic routes.
