Amid fulfilling his mandatory military services, BTS’ leader RM dropped a new album. On May 24, the rapper unveiled his much-anticipated comeback album titled ‘Right Place, Wrong Person.’ The second solo album comprises 11 tracks, and upon its release, the songs swiftly climbed to the top of the iTunes charts worldwide, and even dominated the Billboard Charts.

While fans are grooving and appreciating the tracks, one B-side track, ‘Nuts’ has left some unsettled. Fans believe that the song addresses a previous relationship that the idol went through, as its lyrics seem more personal. Speculation is rife online about whether the song reflects on a past relationship in his early twenties.

ARMYs are deeply moved by the emotional lyrics, interpreting them as the rapper opening up about a difficult romantic relationship. The English-translated verse 2 of the song states, “Every night, I write letters to my past self. With just a glass of whiskey, all the memories come pouring out, praying to a god I don’t even believe in. So that you can move on from being my everything in your twenties,” after he rapped about how “love will inevitably fail, and love is for the freaks.”

The lyrics further delve into the longing for the other person to move forward and find happiness, despite the challenges of the relationship and the pain. These particular lyrics have made many believe that he may have experienced a difficult breakup. Someplace else, the lyrics go like, “I’ll sincerely wish for your happiness, even though you probably won’t believe me. It was a tough relationship, there’s a stigma on my chest. It’s called you. I can’t even believe we were together. It was flu, and we could see the karma coming through. The monster hasn’t been me, I beg you, oh, baby, please. Forever, ever, ever wish you true happiness, damn.”

While all seven members of BTS have kept their personal and dating lives private, fans frequently decode clues in their music and emotions. However, many have pointed out that the 29-year-old rapper might be in a relationship, and it’s quite common and natural to have a girlfriend or partner at this stage of life.

As for ‘Right Place, Wrong Person,’ as stated by BIGHIT Music, “RM paints a portrait of universal emotions that anyone could have encountered at least once in their lives, delivering a message that resonates with those who strive to find answers in the face of these emotions.” The album is currently climbing the music sales and most-streamed charts.
