Jharkhand opener and captain Ishan Kishan takes strike against Madhya Pradesh in-form seamer Tripuresh Singh, and smashes the very first ball straight down the ground for an emphatic boundary. Kishan takes a single to hand his opening partner Virat Singh the strike, and the fellow southpaw charges down the track straight away. The Jharkhand duo making their intentions very clear at the outset.

After a relatively sedate start by his standards, Ishan Kishan ups the ante towards the end of the powerplay, smacking back-to-back sixes in the sixth over and another one in the seventh to race away to 47 not out off 21 balls. Virat Singh's early dismissal has not changed his approach in any manner.

Venkatesh Iyer is playing a game-changing part with the ball for MP. He has already picked up three wickets, including the prized scalp of Ishan Kishan (63 off 30) and the big-hitting Robin Minz. Anukul Roy is now joined by Pankaj Kumar at the crease for Jharkhand.

Mangesh Yadav leaps at the edge of the long-on boundary to grab the ball, and somehow manages to retain his balance inches off the fence. A fantastic catch in the outfield gets rid of Pankaj Kumar as Jharkhand lose half their side. Onus on Anukul Roy now to prop up the total in the last four overs.

Jharkhand lose a clump of wickets in the death overs, but still somehow manage to post a challenging 181-run total. Ishan Kishan's 30-ball 63 was the only notable knock, but cameos towards the latter end mean MP will have a tricky chase on their hands.

Venkatesh Iyer is run out for eight in the third over, to deal a huge blow to MP's hopes. But Harsh Gawali and Harpreet Singh Bhatia have since combined to stitch a 32-run partnership off 21 balls. The required run rate is well over nine, but Madhya Pradesh still have nine wickets in their kitty.

Harsh Gawali departs for a 49-ball 61, ending a superb 122-run partnership between him and Harpreet Singh Bhatia. MP skipper Rajat Patidar is now in the middle as the chase grows tense. MP need 32 runs off three overs with eight wickets intact.

13 were needed off the last over. Rajat Patidar's dismissal off the second ball opened the floodgates, and eventually 3 were required off the last ball. Aniket Verma smashed it towards extra cover but was run-out in the quest of completing a second run, that would have taken the match to a Super Over.
