The wait is now over! Both the Sri Lankan openers - veteran Chamari Athapaththu and youngster Vishmi Gunaratne are on the creas e, meanwhile Kranti Gaud is starting the proceedings for India with the ball.

India got the big wicket of Chamari Athapaththu, who was looking dangerous while she lasted. Kranti Gaud got the big scalp for India and it was also her first T20I wicket that she'll cherish for a lifetime. Skipper Hasini Perera joined Vishmi Gunaratne on the crease

Half of the Sri Lankan innings has come to an end and till now India bowlers has managed to keep things in control. Sri Lanka has lost two of their top batters and their run rate in under six an over. They have 8 wickets in hand and will need to accelerate in the last 10 overs to make a match out of it in dewy conditions against a strong Indian batting line-up.

Bowled! Sree Charani gets her 1st wicket as she castles Harshitha Samarwickrama for 21. Samarwickrama went to play the sweep shot but went too across the off-side and missed the line of the ball eventually to get bowled.

Indian bowlers did a pretty good job to restrict Sri Lankan women for just 121/6 in 20 overs. Vishmi Gunaratne topped the charts for SL with her 39 runs off 43 balls. India would back themselves to chase this target down easily given their power batting line-up and dewy conditions which could make it difficult for SL spinners to make an impact in the game.

India begin their chase of 122 and Shafali Verma started with two sumptuous boundaries in the 1st over of Malki Madara. SL need early wickets to stay in the match otherwise the aggressive opening duo of Mandhana and Shafali can end the game in powerplay itself.

The best friend duo out of the field are wreaking havoc on the field currently. Smriti Mandhana (23*) and Jemimah Rodrigues (21*) have taken the attack to Sri Lanka with their exceptional shot-making. India now need just 66 runs to win in 84 balls.

The Indian batter have made this match a mere formality now. Though SL managed to dismiss Smriti Mandhana for 25, yet Jemimah (39*) continued with his onslaught and now IND need 43 runs off 60 balls.

Jemimah takes an easy single to seal the deal for India. India as expected chases down the target of 122 quite easily with 8 wickets in hand and 32 balls remaining. Jemirah Rodrigues starred with the bat for India with her not out 69 making light work of the chase.
