Two separate all-party delegations from India embarked on diplomatic missions to the United Arab Emirates and Japan. Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde led the delegation to the UAE, highlighting India's stance against terrorism, while JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha's delegation met with India's Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo.

  • A multi-party parliamentary delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday as part of India's diplomatic push to showcase its counter-terrorism efforts and update the global community on Operation Sindoor.

  • The delegation was received by Ahmed Mir Khoori, Member of the UAE's Federal National Council, and Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir.

  • The delegation includes a group of MPs, comprising Bansuri Swaraj and Atul Garg from the BJP, Manan Kumar Mishra, a senior advocate and Rajya Sabha member, ET Mohammed Basheer from the Indian Union Muslim League, Sasmit Patra from the Biju Janata Dal, and BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, along with former diplomat Sujan Chinoy.

  • Following the UAE visit, the delegation will travel to Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone as part of its broader international itinerary.

  • During their two-day visit to the UAE, the delegation will engage in high-level meetings in Abu Dhabi, starting with an interaction with Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. They will also hold talks at the Federal National Council with Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuami and other senior officials.

  • In addition meetings have been arranged with officials from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Media Office. The delegation will also engage with local media through an interaction with The National newspaper and participate in a session with strategic political affairs analyst Amjad Taha.

  • The visit also includes a key outreach component to the Indian diaspora community, with a planned event at the Indian Embassy's auditorium in Abu Dhabi.

  • The Indian embassy in the UAE said that the UAE was the first country to receive the multi-party delegation in the context of Operation Sindoor, underlining the deep bonds of friendship between the two nations.

  • A multi-party delegation led by JD (U) MP Sanjay Jha on Thursday reached Tokyo to put across India's views on terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

  • The delegation will also visit South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore as part of New Delhi's outreach following Operation Sindoor and the subsequent conflict between India and Pakistan.

  • The delegation led by Jha includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brijlal, Pradhan Barua and Hemang Joshi, Congress leader and former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M)'s John Brittas, and former ambassador Mohan Kumar.

  • BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi said in Tokyo, " One of the delegations with nine MPs is here in Japan. We have just started our visit to Japan. The first thing we did was to come to the Embassy of India. We had a very good discussion with the Ambassador and his team. We wanted to understand many things about Japan and about their viewpoint on the Pahalgam attack."
