Telangana Unveils First Tourism Policy: Here's All You Need To Know About It

The Telangana government has approved its first ever tourism policy since the state was formed. As part of this strategy, Hyderabad will host the Miss World 2025 pageant in May and focus will be on modernising tourism sites

In a recent cabinet meeting, the Telangana Government approved its first tourism policy since the state's formation, with the objective of large-scale development over the next five years. The Tourism Policy 2025-30 aims to establish 27 special tourism zones across Telangana and enhance infrastructure to increase visitor numbers. The policy is expected to attract investments of INR 15,000 crore, which will support the development of tourism infrastructure and promote heritage and nature-based attractions. It is also projected to create approximately three lakh jobs within the tourism sector.
