Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district, near the India-China border, has been experiencing unusually heavy and prolonged snowfall since the evening of February 11. This extreme weather has disrupted essential services, including electricity, water supply, and communication networks, making daily life difficult for residents.
The district administration, in collaboration with the army and other organisations, is actively monitoring the situation and coordinating emergency response efforts. Authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated with official advisories for their safety.
In response to the severe snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district, multiple government agencies have mobilised crews to restore essential services. Security personnel are actively assisting stranded tourists and commuters, particularly in the Sela and Jaswantgarh areas, where the snowfall has made travel extremely difficult.
