Siege was laid on Peace right under the Pope's very roof. Well, at least symbolically. A dove which was freed from an open window of the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican during the Angelus prayer was attacked by a seagull, much to the surprise of those gathered in St. Peter's Square. Right before this assault on the dove, the Pope said prayers for peace in Ukraine where anti-government protesters died.
